Sr. Cost Estimator is needed in Atlanta, GA. Review bid invitations, scope, plans, and specs; Participate in pre-bidding decision making efforts; Prepare and review quantity takeoff; Analyze and compare subcontractor and suppliers’ quotes; Find unusual conditions, verify completeness, identify missing or additional scope; Identify deficiencies in the specs and seek clarifications from the owner; Breakout and develop complete work scopes for each trade or each subcontractor; Collect and analyze all factors that can affect cost and schedule; Estimate material, labor, equipment and subcontractors required to perform the work; Develop accurate forecast of the cost, size, and duration of the project; From a professional engineering standpoint, provide value engineering ideas and proposals; After winning a bid, turnover project information to operations team, continue interaction with management throughout project process; Track and evaluate historical cost data, manage cost database for future estimates. Req. Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with 2-year progressive experience as Cost Estimator, with proficiency in PlanSwift, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project. Must have Professional Engineer license, LEED AP certificate and passed NASCLA Commercial General Building Contractors exam. 9-5, 40 hr/wk.
